Well here we go members, the 2009 season is in our sights, the AGM is out the way the General Committee have got things under control with the running of the club. New skippers on Saturdays indicate interesting times ahead following some spectacular voting. The indication shown on the night was in favour of another club tour this summer - where we going, what has Neil got planned?
The Social Committee have plans for 2009 and with the members support good times await. It would appear that Darren and Mikey Gunn haven't retired as reported in 2008 both have been seen at nets and the AGM. Wishing everyone a good season for 2009.

CLUB DAY Sunday 30th August 2009
This year saw a T20 game between the Lads v. Dads, the lads XI skippered by Shearzy batted first and soon had the Dads on the rack and totalled 152 from their 20 overs. In reply the Dads were up with the required run rate until the third over and the never got back on it and despite skipper Abbotts 'competative dad' over against Lewis (big big '6' Russ) finished on 130.
Lads XI
Shearzy 44, Tommo Hughes 25, Sam Deleu 24no. Jordan Shave 19 (K.Skidmore 3 wickets).
Dads XI
Barmy Tel 28, R.Abbott 20, Bazza Deleu 19 (Jimbo Reardon 2 wickets)
Result: Lads won by 22 runs
The big game saw the CICC Chairman's XI v. CICC XI in a much awaited T20 game. The Chairmans XI batted first and totalled 127 with the in form Matt Snowdon hitting an unbeaten 25+, only a tight last 4 overs by Ellis and Cagney kept the runs down and the wickets up, the chairmans XI innings finishing 3 balls short of the maximum with Cookie being caught of the bowling of Caggers.
In reply solid knocks from Shearzy, Ellis, Wardy and Butler set the foundation for the support line up to finish off Lozza an unbeaten 25+ and Cagney hitting the winning 4 off of the bowling of Chairman Cookie saw the CICC XI home to victory.
Off field support was top class with the refreshments stall catering for all and thanks go to all that help with special mention to Amanda's Skidmore and Abbott.
For those who missed out you best pencil in the August bank holiday Sunday 2010. Photos of the day below.
